Scale Plan

Return to chapter overview

Icovia provides you with the ability to print to a specified scale.  The plans are always drawn in true 1:1 scale.  When scales are applied, a zoom factor is automatically applied to the plan that will produce a printed plan at the desired scale.

Scale is set from within the print preview area, not from within the main workspace. Scales are represented an  n=1’ ratio.  The following scale options are available: 3/4”, 1/2”, 3/8”, 1/4", 3/16”, 1/8”, 3/32”, 1/16”, 1/32”.  When working in metric units, the print scale is based on an n=1meter ratio.  The following scale rations are available: 10, 20, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500.

Before setting a print scale, the scale button is labeled “not to scale.”

To change the drawing scale to a specific ratio:

1.Select the black triangle on the right side of the scale button.  A screen displays all the scale options.
2.Select a scale. After selecting a true scale, the scale button displays the current scale.
