As your plan develops, you may find that the view needs to expand beyond the current view. Along with the use of scrolling and zoom controls, you can zoom to a view that will fit all of the items in your plan in the work area.

To Fit to View

Select Fit to View from the View menu. You can also invoke a zoom to fit command from the keyboard by pressing the [Ctrl] and [0] keys simultaneously.

This is a convenient way to look at everything that has been added to the plan, especially if the current zoom level leaves you confused about where you are in the plan.  The work area will zoom to display the entire plan, with a margin of about 5% to facilitate object selection of all objects in the plan.  Using the Fit to View command will not change the current edit mode.  In other words, whatever editor tool was active before clicking  Fit to View will still be active after using the fit tool.
