Icovia allows you to Save, Print and Share plans in along with several other functions. These functions can be accessed through the buttons in the top panel. These functions are also available through the file menu but the buttons here offer you quick access to these commonly used functions without having to go into the File menu.
Clicking on the Save button allows you to save a plan. To Save the current plan, click on the Save button. The system displays a pop-up saying that it is saving your plan and then displays confirmation that the plan has been saved. The updates to the current plan in your workspace will be saved. Plans that have been saved will be available for future retrieval whenever you need them. Plans also need to be saved before they can be emailed or printed.
You can print a plan using the Print button in the top panel. Printing Icovia plans is the same as printing any other document. Any printer that is accessible to your computer can be used. If you have color in your plan and your computer is connected to a color printer, your plan will print in color. Click on the Print button to print a plan. This displays the Print Preview window where you can view how the plan will look in print and select the various printing options.
You can share a plan that you like with your family, friends or realtor. This feature allows you to send a copy of your plan to someone else. Your saved plan will not be affected. When you email a plan to someone they receive an email containing a link that allows them to open a copy of your plan. This way, they can send the plan back to you with their edits. This is a great way to collaborate with someone on design ideas. Click on the Share button to email a plan. This opens a pop-up window prompting you to enter the email addresses of the people you want to send the plan to and your comments. Type in this information and click Send to share your plan. An email with a link to the floor plan is sent to the persons specified.
